The C-suite are cruel and vicious, and employees bringing up concerns are marginalized in spite of evidence. The culture encourages covering up for executives.

My managers were very understanding and human.

Telling the truth. Actually setting up employees for success, not leaving them to flounder with zero information or help.

Well, they can't. Using Pareto rule they are mostly managers 80% and leaders like 20%. Hence, we need to cut across their power in bonuses, compensation, hiring by bringing more transparency and making the overall process more democratic

Total bonus compensation across the company should be shared more with lower employees than seniors. They are mostly managers and since they are rarely leaders they don't deserve that high bonuses. Besides the fact they are already paid a higher salary. If not then work-life balance should be improv

We need to check whether referrals really bring better people or we can hire better people without referrals. Does referrals bring more politics in the system? I guess for a batter team some sharing of personal details are required. Like who are parents, who have kids, who have hobbies etc..

Rethink this business model entirely.
