Right now, there are 580,400 people experiencing homelessness in the United States. More than 58,000 of these people are pet parents. That means over 58,000 cats and dogs have pet parents that love them more than anything – but lack the veterinary care that they need.
The Project Street Vet team offers a variety of veterinary support to pets and their parents – from routine exams to life-saving surgeries. They also take care of the things that fall somewhere in the middle, like vaccinations and flea and tick medications.
Fetch loves the work that Project Street Vet is doing. And for us, love means giving back. So with the support of Fetch, Project Street Vet will be able to expand into more communities to help the people and pets who need it most.

??Reuben, a Chihuahua mix known for being a “little gentleman,” is always calm and polite. Even after rupturing a spinal cord disc, Reuben recovered with grace and powered through his setback. At first, he received a grim prognosis — some dogs never walk again. However, with the help of a dog wheelchair and several treatments, Reuben can maneuver on his own.
Project Street Vet is a non-profit public charity, founded by Dr. Kwane Stewart, that provides free veterinary care, treatment, and support to the pets of individuals experiencing homelessness. Fetch by The Dodo and Project Street Vet share the same values and passion for pet wellness and inclusivity, which is why we are proud to announce that Fetch is the primary sponsor of Project Street Vet. With this partnership, we are able to recruit more street vets across Southern California and eventually, nationwide, to help the people and pets who need it.
