At Firstup, we curate authentic connectivity which defines and creates a low-impact digital environment, sustainable global community and promotes successful resource management. These interwoven focuses reflect our corporate social responsibility pillars.
Firstup puts people first — our customers, our employees and our communities — with a commitment to environmental, social and community stewardship.
By redefining the digital employee experience we bring to life our commitments while optimizing our customers’ daily landscapes. We focus on efficiency governed by ethical principles of operations, furthering sustainable progress internally and for our customers. Our pillars of responsibility include: global community, digital environment and resource management. Each of these pillars has underlying initiatives to bring our sustainability commitment to life.
At Firstup, we are making a difference with the environment in a digital way.
1. Dedicated to a distributed workforce: Since many of our employees work from home, our distributed workforce reduces greenhouse gas emissions, fossil fuel consumption and energy usage. Although much of our workforce is distributed, when we head into the office, we subsidize eco-friendly ways to get there. Within our three offices, we also cut down on our footprint by offering recycling. We have also changed our approach to flying. We are purposeful and strategic - we avoid travel for a single event and find ways to make the moments we do travel productive and multi-functional.
2. Customer Awareness: By supporting digital engagement efforts across our customers , we are creating opportunities for customers to further meet their Corporate Social Responsibility KPIs and initiatives with clear, enterprise-wide communication, compliance and alignment. Helping our customers operate more sustainably through the facilitation of feedback loops, compliance-based communications, and operational improvements.
3. Redefining workforce communications: The Firstup platform is engineered to help our customers go digital. Reducing paper by just 10% in the U.S. alone can prevent the emission of 1.6 million tons of greenhouse gasses.
Firstup recognizes the importance of supporting the communities where our employees live and work. Every employee at Firstup is encouraged to give back to their local communities. Our paid designated volunteer days empowers employees to take time off to volunteer locally, and our Firstup Matching Funds program allows Firstup to support the charities our employees are passionate about. Employees can donate to the charities of their choosing, and in turn, Firstup will match their donations. Firstup also has a dedicated Community Chair on the DEIB Council planning both in-person and virtual community events to further give back to the community.
