What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Most customers are unhappy because the company's outdated systems always encounter errors, which prevent employees from satisfying the customer's needs. The policies do not help the customer, they help the company.

There are not enough experienced people supporting customers in my business unit. Customers have to wait too long for updates.

dealing with a software product cobbled together from pieces that range in age from 20 to 30 years. only possible remedy would be a ground-up rework. which would probably not be profitable.

The company has layoffs/downsizing often and atmosphere is very stressful. You are always expecting to be let go, especially if you are at the higher end of the pay scale.

too much politics in some departments, its like we have forgotten that our clients pay us for a service. instead we are treating clients like cash cows and attend to the larger client who make a lot of noise. these clients drain the teams and as a result the mood is sour internally

We always seem to be waiting for the other shoe to drop, when will the next layoff, reduction in work force, happen and how many people will be let go.
