Approachable. Engineers at heart. Normal.

Uncapped, benefits, meets my worth, flexible

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Not paid the market rate. Also, nowhere near what Australia pays.
Pay is low. A typical software dev role at a nondescript software house oays more. Mechanical engineers are dragging the salaries of SW engineers down. Definitely not competitive compared to Australia. A few $k of share options is pitiful - why bother. Working harder does not get recognised.
Health insurance, individual performance bonus at 10% is industry norm
More compensation, or reduced workload.

People are friendly and want to do the right thing
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Pay more to attract competent engineers with solid experience. Can't rely on hiring uni graduates all the time. Reduce micromanagement. Involve team in planning - don't decide these things outside then drop the plans on us.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Small number of stages. Just a chat, no tests.
It's easy to get a job. Skills not scrutinised deeply. All done in 2 sessions.
