Mr. Samir Kapoor has been Senior Vice President of Device Engineering at Fitbit, Inc. since March 6, 2017. Mr. Kapoor served as Vice President of Firmware Engineering at Fitbit, Inc. since January 3, 2016. He is responsible for firmware on all Fitbit products at Fitbit Inc. He spent 10 years with Qualcomm, where he served as Vice President of Engineering and served multiple leadership roles in software engineering and wireless technology development for mobile and consumer products. He served as the Director of Engineering at Flarion Technologies (acquired by Qualcomm in 2006), and was an early member of the team that developed the innovative FLASH-OFDM technology. Mr. Kapoor holds over 20 patents in the U.S., received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and received his M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
