William Zerella — Chief Financial Officer at Fitbit

Mr. William R. Zerella, also known as Bill, has been Chief Financial Officer of Fitbit Inc. since June 2014. Prior to joining Fitbit, Mr. Zerella served as the Chief Financial Officer of Vocera Communications, Inc. from October 3, 2011 to June 6, 2014 and served as its Principal Accounting Officer until June 6, 2014. Mr. Zerella served as Chief Financial Officer of Carrier Access Corporation since July 2006 and served as its Treasurer. He has more than 30 years of industry experience and led financial organizations at a number of public and private technology companies. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance & Administration at Force10 Networks, Inc. from July 2006 to September 2011 and served as its Principal Accounting Officer and Treasurer. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Infinera Corporation from December 2004 to June 2006, where he was instrumental in scaling its business during a period of dramatic growth. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Calient Networks, which he successfully navigated through the downturn in the telecommunications market. He served as Chief Financial Officer at Logictier Inc. He served other senior executive finance positions throughout his career, including ICTV, Pace, Inc., GTECH Corporation and Deloitte & Touche LLP. In the course of his career, he has successfully raised or restructured in excess of $500 million of equity and debt capital and has demonstrated accomplishments in scaling growth businesses. He has been a Director of xAd, Inc. since March 01, 2016. Mr. Zerella is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BS in Accounting from the New York Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
