Probably the best company I've worked for in a fairly long career! I wish I'd found it sooner.
Review from Marketing Dept
We have a laser focused goal/niche to achieve as a company, one that can truly change the industry.
Review from Engineering Dept
Our leaders display remarkable candor considering their experience levels. All leaders are humble, and are always open to varying opinions regardless of what level they're coming from.
Review from Marketing Dept
They are transparent about how the company is currently performing. Not sure how open they are to feedback though
Honesty and Transparency. Also approachable
Review from Marketing Dept
They try not to elevate themselves above anyone else
Review from Engineering Dept
They are humble and dynamic. The COO is amazing and always takes in differing points of view and has the company's best interests at heart, which include the people
Review from Sales Dept
their jobs. they have no idea what they are doing
I think the leadership team lacks empathy.
Review from Marketing Dept
The beatings should not continue until morale improves.
Review from Engineering Dept
Trust the team - There's too much top down opinion on what we should do and how we do our job. We are experts in our own fields. Give us the autonomy to make independent decisions that will benefit Fivetran, without George blocking us.
Review from Engineering Dept
Reduce the amount of micromanagement
Review from Sales Dept
Excellent health coverage and plentiful PTO (that isn't unlimited, specifically to ensure we use it!)
Review from Marketing Dept
I'm happy with everything - salary, PTO, benefits.
Review from Marketing Dept
It's transparent, not leaving you to guess what the compensation will be
Review from Engineering Dept
Benefits and perks are top notch
Review from Sales Dept
Personal learning stipend of $1500, competitive salary
Review from Marketing Dept
Work / Life balance is not really good. US Teams pays no attention to other team members working hours in different regions. Also, compensation isn't mapped correctly. Employees with 2+ years of experience are getting the same comp as employees having 6+ years experience in same team
fivetran does not pay a competitive rate
We have lost days off and parental leave this year. Benefits packages are not comparable across different geos. % pay raises don't kept up with inflation. Better comms needed from leadership that explains why benefits are structured the way they are and they need to "show the work"
Review from Marketing Dept
I think the base/OTE could be a little higher for Commercial Reps.
Review from Sales Dept
Feel salary is below industry standards
Review from Marketing Dept
There is absolutely zero ego at Fivetran. No one feels above a task nor beyond an opinion. Everyone is open to collaborate, learns from each other, and works together towards our combined mission.
Review from Marketing Dept
theres no ego, everyone is eager to help and is so kind and welcoming!
Review from Marketing Dept
The only best thing about my current team is my manager who still makes me feel heard. One of my seniors wouldn't let me lead on any project and kept hogging the entire project. I don't feel that I am making any difference in the team currently.
Get stuck in, really hard-working, talented, collaborative
Review from Marketing Dept
We're 100% empowered to do the right thing!
Review from Engineering Dept
social interaction with remote work
Review from Engineering Dept
Some of them are difficult to work with. I think part of it is they feel overwhelmed and dont have the energy to help with requests
Review from Customer Support Dept
More in-depth knowledge of underlying software fundamentals; more attention to detail; better communication skills; improved reading comprehension
Review from Engineering Dept
be communicative, co-ordinate and share experiences on what they are working on, and involve.
Review from Product Dept
Being part of a digital-first company can be hard. But, I don't think that's unique to Fivetran. I appreciate that the company invests in company-wide, in-person events; but it makes growing a rapport hard.
Review from Marketing Dept
Levels, roles and seniority never get in the way of tackling a project. Everyone truly embodies a 1 Team 1 Dream mentality, with high level leaders always willing to get their hands dirty and lower-level ICs having the opportunity to contribute towards strategy and direction.
Review from Marketing Dept
One Team One Dream, everyone embodies the values, people really get stuck in and collaborate
Review from Marketing Dept
The Fivetran core values... They are clear and to the point, everyone can relate to them
Review from Engineering Dept
They try hard to care about their employees and are always working on communication and listening. They are trying to build the best-in-class product and have remained laser focused on doing so.
Review from Sales Dept
Teams are not siloed, so you feel you can get involved with all aspects of the business and all of the people within different departments. It's one of the healthiest work environments that I've been a part of.
Review from Marketing Dept
Equal distribution of work and respecting other team members' time zones. Seems like there is only one region currently who have to stretch their working hours to long hours and late nights to accommodate people in the US. No mental health benefits. Compensation benchmarking should be correct
replace leadership to ensure people who are the top know how to run a company. listen to the feedback the people who work there give you on a consistent basis and at least pretend to make an effort to do something about it
Well, do not organize meeting about Equity, Equality and Diversity just because you have a plan to organize meeting about Equity, Equality and Diversity. I often feel that such activities are completely isolated from people real needs
Review from Engineering Dept
Employees need to know about their own bias and try to negate them when they are communicating and making any inference. Not all have the same background and knowledge, so we need to embrace this diversity first rather than hue and cry about D & I.
Review from Engineering Dept
My interactions with the recruiter and the interview panel
the authenticity of the individuals I met and the transparency with feedback.
Review from HR Dept
We can use google during interview
Review from Customer Support Dept
They were really concerned/focused on making sure it was a good fit for the both of us.
Review from Marketing Dept
The simulations give a good example of the day to day work.
Review from HR Dept
There aren't any Interviews reviews of Fivetran yet.
Be the first to contribute a review.
The people I have the privilege of working with. Everyone is an expert in their subject area and I learn something new from them every, single day.
Review from Marketing Dept
Getting proper projects, recognition and not chasing people who are currently hogging things
My colleagues and the people I work with. I'm also challenged in my role
Review from Marketing Dept
I'm constantly challenged with good problems to solve
Review from Engineering Dept
Solving problems for my customers and learning something new
Review from Sales Dept
the company is being run into the ground.
There is a lot of uncertainty and chaos at the moment. The introduction of a 13th month has put a lot of team members in mental limbo. It has been challenging to get excited and motivate the teams without clarity and strong executive leadership
Review from Marketing Dept
Its honestly unacceptable to fire 5% in october and then tell folks they reduced burn enough but then end up culling another 20% just 4 months later. Bill Gurley has always maintained the right philosophy when it comes to cutting is "measure twice and cut once" -> cut once, cut deeper than you have.
Review from Customer Support Dept
The iron fist of leadership guiding you in mutually exclusive directions
Review from Engineering Dept
Do not like the feeling of starting with zero in regards to trust, makes me feel like I'm not actually needed.
the flexibility of work-life balance / the mentality around having a life outside of work and prioritizing family/health/etc. I also how exciting our product is and how easy it is to recruit talented new teammates!!
Review from HR Dept
the way layoffs and reorgs are approached and communicated to the greater organization
