Mr. Stephen V. Figliuolo, also known as Steve, has been the Chief Risk Officer and Executive Vice President at Flagstar Bancorp Inc. since September 2014 and joining in June 2014, respectively. Mr. Figliuolo has been the Chief Risk Officer of Flagstar Bank, FSB since June 2014 and serves as its Executive Vice President. He is responsible for the governance and corporate oversight of Flagstar's safety and soundness policies and practices. He is a seasoned bank executive with 35 years of experience in the financial services industry and a strong background in enterprise risk management. He served as Executive Vice President and Corporate Risk Officer of Citizens Republic BanCorp, Inc. (formerly, Citizens Banking Corp.) and its subsidiary Citizens Bank (also known as, Citizens Republic Bank) since May 2005. He served as Principal Accounting Officer of Citizens Republic Bancorp, Inc. from December 2008 to August 2009. He served as Director of Core Sales Administration of Citizens Republic BanCorp, Inc and Citizens Bank from September 2009 to May 2010. He served as Interim Controller of Citizens Republic BanCorp, Inc. He joined Citizens' operations and technology management team in February 2003, where he managed loan operations and production operations, including item processing, deposit operations and cash management. Mr. Figliuolo served as the Controller of Citizens Republic BanCorp, Inc. since December 2008. He served as Vice President of Loan Operations of Citizens Republic BanCorp, Inc. and Citizens Bank from October 2004 to May 2005. He served as Vice President and Production Operations Manager of Citizens Republic BanCorp, Inc. and Citizens Bank from February 2003 to October 2004. He served as Chairman of the team that improved Citizens' AML/BSA compliance. Prior to Citizens Bank, he served as Senior Vice President in charge of wholesale operations at Summit Bank in New Jersey. He was a Principal of Processing Solutions Group from August 2001 to February 2003. He began his career in public accounting. He also held executive positions with Fleet Boston Financial-Summit Bank, First Union National Bank and Chase Manhattan Bank. He joined Chase Manhattan Bank in 1982 and Wachovia Bank in 1992, where he served in various operations management assignments. He has participated in various banking industry forums on risk management, regulatory compliance and compensation risk and has served as a speaker at several Federal Reserve Bank forums. Mr. Figliuolo received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Pace University in New York.
