Leadership is very flat at frog, everyone is very accessible as you can just wander up to their desks or grab them at coffee time.
frogs are a hard and opinionated bunch to manage - the frog leadership team makes themselves accessible.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Not rely on nepotism when hiring
Hire better studio heads and designers for India. Most designers have basic portfolio/experience and there’s no wow factor

The leadership is hamstrung by the parent company a clear example of which is the consolidation of the CFO & COO & CHRO under one person appointed by the parent company. The CEO is given a bad rap but clearly he has no room to make any actions before getting approval from the parent company.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The comp strategy is well thought out.
Base pay is fair, and the rest of the benefits are pretty standard.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
While it's understood that working for frog means being paid less than market rate... what never made sense was how creatives were paid lower than other disciplines when we were in creative lead company.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The senior creative tier at frog was the best but often felt disillusioned and dismayed by decisions made by senior leadership.
The strategists are some of the smartest, most motivated, creative and interesting people I have ever worked with.
Passion, experience, imagination and hard working. Focused on creating tangible value through Design for end-users/customers and clients. Motivated to do the best work together and have a positive impact on the world. Not just dreamers, frogs really can do what they say.

frogs are some of the smartest people I have ever worked with. It's an intellectually demanding workplace with incredibly smart and intellectually interesting people. The information diet provided by fellow frogs is a pure joy.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
leadership, transparency, consistency in policy
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The physical environment is not the most polished or pristine - this is no architecture office or internet company - but it feels like a place where things get made. It has a nice work-shoppy feel to it.
Still a culture inspired and shaped by real Designers going all the way back to the founder Hartmut Esslinger. Very open and flexible, but everything is bespoke and that also means no comfortably beaten paths, no pre-fab methods and tools, a lot of ad-hoc improv and some reinventing the wheel.

For self motivated people with a lot of drive, frog gives you the freedom to do what you want. But some people find this environment very confusing and disorientating.

Super fun place to work. We solve complicated problems, but do so in an incredibly fun environment and with fantastic people. I love being a frog!

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
I matter even though I was suggested by my manager various times that it wasn't the case
Leaders need to stop making decisions from their ill-informed gut that leads to bias against people of color. They need to have separate people as CFO, COO, & Head of human resources.

What makes you most happy at work?
Some of my coworkers are very nice
I get to work on some of the most interesting business problems available today, with smart, interesting, collaborative and low-ego people.
The work frogs create to delight clients and end users with shipping products that matter, and grow the client's business.
