Genentech Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Healthcare benefit is quite fair

Lots of benefits... Can't complain

Great benefits and perks! In addition to regular benefits, there are onsite services, like health care center, a gym, and a childcare centee.

Parental leave and stocks, benefits price, 401K company match

Vacation days, Holidays, Genentech has a grandfathered sabbatical benefit where after 6 years of FTE employment you get 6 weeks of paid vacation time to use.

Annual bonus very generous. HR looks at market and adjusts as necessary

I am a contractor for now.

Medical and overall health benefits

Review from Operations Dept

I get paid top dollar for outputting top-of-the-line work.

Review from IT Dept

Very fair to everyone and useful.

Wow. Couldn’t be happier. Awesome!

The extras (stocks, bonuses). Working from home is a nice option, but it is not available to me.

I get bonuses for not using many vacation days.

Review from Engineering Dept

The benefits are better then most

Salary, bonus, stock options and good health insurance

Actually the total package and the attention to my personal needs like health insurance as well as my total compensation.

Salary and long term incentives

Salary and annual bonus. Actually healthcare is great, many options

the net pay is great

Review from Operations Dept

benefits including healthcare and a lot of the side perks and 401K matching

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I wish that contractors had more benefits as well as opportunities for attaining a permanent position here at Genentech. I feel that a lot of the work that contractors do goes above and beyond their call to duty but without the compensation that should come with that level of responsibility.

More bonus and stock. There isn't enough scope for good bonuses compared with employee expectations

This company promotes mediocrity from within. When you bring in new blood they are threatened. Beware of your managers.

Review from IT Dept

Engineers make less than other companies. Scientists are paid above average.

Review from Engineering Dept

Management makes the most money while everyone else at the bottom fights for scraps.

Review from Operations Dept

Completely under valued you can speak up unless your a blue badge. Green badges should get offered 401k and PTO

Review from Operations Dept

Stock/equity compensation is kind of a joke...

Higher pay and bring back all things taken away

Review from Operations Dept

I feel as though I am compensated less than my male counterparts. Transparent statistic from the company could improve that
