You get to meet with a broad range of managers and co-workers to really access the work team, leadership and environment. Which are all outstanding.
Low level managers have complete discretion. I would reign that in. I interviewed for two positions but was passed over out of nepotism in one case and incompetence in the other because they were accepting applications even after they selected someone.
