Keep up all the changes to make us even more Agile, Human Center Design Focused and a Great Place to Work. The flexible work schedules, outstanding benefits and the "family" environment are excellent motivators for employees.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
401k match is pretty good

Overall, General Dynamics Mission Systems' benefits are very good. For me, the 6% employer 401K match and the flexible work schedules are what makes GD Mission Systems an awesome place to work!

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Benefits are pretty standard and prices increase more than raises and inflation. No bonus for majority of employees. Buildings are falling apart. No stock discount.
there is no stock/equity compensation unless you are a very senior exec. Raises are below the rate of inflation.
Because people in my position at other companies are paid higher

We have a "small company feel" and the culture and environment encourage a tight team environments, within a large defense contractor. Which gives us the best of both worlds. We get the benefits of a large company and the exciting, meaningful work that will help us make a difference in the world.

I was introduced to several different potential managers instead of it just being a one-on-one meeting

There is no technical vetting of candidates. Just one phone call interview going over your experience and that's all. No technical questions at all.
Very involved discussions across a range of topics
One on one conversations with the people I'd be working with.
The hiring manager laid out the hiring process and the timeline in which I would hear back from them if I were chosen for the position.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Low level managers have complete discretion. I would reign that in. I interviewed for two positions but was passed over out of nepotism in one case and incompetence in the other because they were accepting applications even after they selected someone.
What makes you most happy at work?
When it is time to go home.
