Dr.-Ing. Stephan Reimelt has been Chief Executive Officer and President of Germany and Austria of GE since July2016. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Power Conversion at General Electric Company since October 19, 2015 until July 22, 2016. Dr.- Ing. Reimelt serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Power Conversion at GE Energy Management, Inc. Dr.- Ing. Reimelt oversees global operations and GE's further expansion, as well as driving commercial growth. He has been employed with GE for four years. He serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Europe and Chief Executive Officer of GE Germany. In this position, he is managing GE's European activities, creating and implementing strategy and coordinating cross-business growth initiatives. He is also responsible for the leadership of GE in Germany where he is heading the operations of a One GE country business. He has a wide range of industry and entrepreneurial experience. He ran his own technological company. In his previous role, he has managed GE's Energy portfolio in Germany. In this capacity, he led the transformation of the energy businesses Power & Water, Energy Connections and Oil & Gas. He served as a Member of Executive Board at Ferrostaal GmbH (alternate name, MAN Ferrostaal AG) since 2008. He was responsible for the technological unit of Renewable Resources in the Lurgi Life Science GmbH since May 2002. He served as Managing Director of Lurgi Life Science GmbH since 2001 and Head of the Sales Division of Lurgi AG since 2004. He served as a Member of the Executive Board at Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions Germany GmbH since December 01, 2005. He was responsible for the Petrochemicals and Green Technologies business segments and regional responsibility for the Middle East/ Heads of the Business Units: North Africa and the Americas. He founded Reimelt Corporation in Tampa/Florida, which he controlled until 1988. He served as Managing Director of Sales and Technology at Zeppelin Reimelt GmbH since March 2000. He was General Partner and Managing Partner at 'Dietrich Reimelt KG' since February 1989. His activities focused on the world-wide management of sales including supervision of subsidiaries in America and Asia, their establishment and further development. He served as a Director of Methanol Holdings (Trinidad) Limited. He served as a Member of Supervisory Board at ProLeiT AG. He has been a professor of Technical University in Berlin since 2001 teaching Factory Planning. He was appointed professor in 2010 and teaches process engineering at Technical University in Berlin. He wrote his dissertation on the topic Investigation of variables in pneumatic mixing of bulk goods. He graduated in industrial engineering at the Technical University in Berlin in 1982 and where he received his PhD in 1984.
