Gogo Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

The communication lines are open both ways and relatively transparent.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I have not or heard the leadership team yet. But they seem to be transparent which is great.

Review from Engineering Dept

Transparent leadership. Informational culture. Leadership does not try to hide what is going on in the company.

Review from Operations Dept

They are transparent and strategic. They invest in growth and place importance on company culture.

Review from Operations Dept

The employees are treated like family. The Leadership and Execs aren't stowed away on some mythical floor you can't get to. You see them everyday and you can talk to them about anything. Sports, Family, or just say Hi.

Review from Customer Support Dept

They actually care about the core values and our team members

Review from Operations Dept

Friendly, outgoing, creative, hard workers, dedicated.

Review from HR Dept

The are humans too. Mostly transparent.

There is a level of compassion that extends beyond that of other leadership teams I have been involved with, and that translates to a more harmonious working environment.

Review from Engineering Dept

They're approachable and easy to talk to.

Review from Engineering Dept

The leadership team is open and transparent - with both good and bad news. That's important as it helps give us a clear view of what we're doing, where we're going, and any corrective action we can take. It helps rally the team around common goals to achieve big things.

Review from Engineering Dept

Wherever possible they provide transparency and read us into the overall business objectives

Review from Sales Dept

Integrity and transparency are demonstrated by our leadership.

Review from HR Dept

They seem open and transparent

Review from Customer Support Dept

Friendliness and openness in person, demonstrates capability and is transparent in practices, They paint a clear picture of team effort and expectations

I love the open communication, obvious dedication to the goals and business plan and success of the company, and the effort put into keeping Gogo about teamwork and collaboration.

Review from Operations Dept

frequent updates and sharing the progress with both good and less than good information

Review from Engineering Dept

Great work environment and clear communication.

Review from Operations Dept

Responsive when issues arise, have questions, or need help.

Review from Finance Dept

Friendly and knowledgeable, along with easy to contact

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Acknowledge the gaps in skill and management on every level including their own.

Review from Marketing Dept

Listen to they experts they hired

Review from Marketing Dept

The CEO adds zero value to the executive team. He only has the position because he invested hundreds of millions into the company decades ago. He is slowly but surely destroying the positive culture that has been built throughout the years.

Better employee retention. Pay at or above industry salaries.

Review from Engineering Dept

Retaining quality engineers by giving them the tools they need to be efficient, as well as the salaries they want.

Review from Engineering Dept

Stop belittling people, stop the demeaning behavior and emails. Have the balls to admit a mistake and make an apology when warranted. And stop hiding behind crap like, "that is just how I am" or "he's passionate about his work, he doesn't really mean it."

Review from IT Dept

Gogo execs make a lot of very technical decisions and they do not have the technical knowledge to make those decisions independently. They need to determine tools which are appropriate to help them make the right decision. They seem to trust everyone outside the company, like sales representatives.

Management is out of touch, plays favorites, and is it just for themselves. They need to focus on developing individuals rather than cutting heads and leaving remaining people to do all the work. It doesn't add up.
