Support staff gossips, doesn't know how to act as a team and cause drama. This is compounded by the fact that office managers are the same. This is a very unprofessional and toxic place to work.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Checks and balances. Office managers are unqualified and psychotic. They are treating the legal assistants badly and nobody cares. HR is corrupt and not autonomous she is friends with office managers. Employees have no recourse. This place is toxic. HR Director needs to be reprimanded.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

HR is corrupt, need to make changes in that department and hire a director who is professional and ethical. Office managers need to be screened, many of them are petty and power hungry. The staff is treated very badly. Firm needs to appreciate the support staff, they run the cases.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I worked as a legal assistant and was paid 16 dollars an hour, yet was responsible for most of the work. I was the primary point if contact for the client, not the attorney. More importantly support staff is subjected to work in a toxic environment. HR Director is unprofessional so no recourse.
