Treat employees like adults, become less dictatorial and more harmonious with employees and stop acting like executives and leadership are more important than any other employee.
They need to get better at listening to employees. Leaders are handed positions based on relationships with or without any real experience or qualifications. They may have more knowledgeable people report to them. Instead of embracing and learning from them, they feel threatened or intimidated.
The majority of the work is performed by the bottom 80% of employees while the majority of the compensation goes to the top 20%. The differential between the low paid and high paid is much too high. This leaves employees feeling undervalued and working only to increase the pay to the top levels.
