Grovo's Frequently Asked Questions page is a central hub where its customers can always go to with their most common questions. These are the 166 most popular questions Grovo receives.
The legwork for putting your learning program together is done. Now it's time to put all of that hard work into that hands (and minds!) of those that need it most - your learners.
Question is, what's the best way to tell your learners about Grovo?
The most important part of a launch is making sure that you've made Grovo relevant to your teammates. Fill it with trainings that will excite them and make them better at their jobs.
Prime the pump by sending out a teaser email with a big launch date, and if your company is really behind this initiative, hand out some swag with it.
But, by far, our most successful launches are sustained by front-line managers. Empower teams to get their colleagues into Grovo and entrusting them with the ability to create content that is hyperspecific to their day-to-day will help make that happen.

As such, some historical data from Grovo legacy may appear differently in the new platform. How does historical data come into play?We have migrated the user activity event data from Grovo legacy to the new platform. That means you can pull a report from the new Grovo and see things like lesson views and completions that take into account your users full history with Grovo. What sort of differences might I see between user activity in my legacy and new Grovo platform?Grovo legacy supported one quiz with multiple questions, whereas in the new platform, every question has its own quiz card. We now track completion for each quiz card in the new platform. So, for quizzes completed in the legacy platform, we count one card completion per quiz. For users completing the same lesson later in the new platform, we will count multiple card completions per each quiz card consumed. Why do reports show the last updated with a current date, but the lesson completion is in the past? The last updated will be the date when your content was migrated from your legacy to your new Grovo platform. The last updated is referring specifically to the content, not the user consumption. We consider the lesson version on legacy to be 0 and the new version to be 1. Any updates you do on the new platform to the lesson once migrated will increase the version number as expected.

View ArticleAdding a voiceover to your PowerPoint is an easy way to spice up your Grovo training! Here's how:
Create a short presentation in the Grovo Microlearning style or break up your lengthy presentation into multiple les with only a couple slides each. Remember the magic is in the micro!
A few Animations and Transitions will help engage your learners.
When youre ready to narrate, click on Slide Show in the menu bar and then on Record Slide Show. Once your presentation opens full screen, the microphone is on and you are recording.
Pressing the right arrow on your keyboard will move you through your effects and slides.
Pro tip: PowerPoint saves a separate audio le for each slide, so nish your thought for each slide about one second or so before moving to the next slide.
Once youre done, full-screen mode will close. You will then see gray speaker images in the lower right corner of each page of the presentation. Dont delete them. Those are your audio les. However, you will want to drag them off the slide so theydon'tappear in the video.
To preview your work, click on Slide Show in the menu bar and then on Play from Start.
Save in .pptx format rst, then Export as a .MP4 file. Save as a .pptxExport as an .MP4
Upload the .MP4 le to a Video card in Lesson Create.

View ArticleThe logic behind Grovo's assignments is exactly like distributing a paper worksheet for homework in grade school.
Once you print out the worksheet and pass it out to the class, no changes that you make on the electronic version of our worksheet will be automatically captured on the worksheets in your students' backpacks
Every subsequent time that you print and hand out the worksheet, however, the new changes will be reflected
If you'd like the original group of students to see the changes, you can either collect their worksheets and reassign them the new worksheet, or you can give them an additional worksheet that has the changes
Here are two scenarios that help flesh this out:
Example 1: I have Lesson A, B, and C in Track 1, and a learner has completed all 3 lessons. One day I update Lesson B.
* Does this make Lesson B appear as incomplete for the learner? What will happen when I assign out this track again?
No, there will be no changes to the existing assignment. However, the next time Track 1 is assigned, these changes will be reflected and anyone browsing for this track in the LIbrary will immediately see the changes.
To surface these changes to your learners you can either Cancel the assignment and re-send it or you can send this group of learners just the revised Lesson B as a new assignment.
But the next time you add this track to an assignment, the new version of Lesson B will be included with whatever changes were made.
Example 2: I have Lesson A, B, and C in Track 1, and a learner has completed all 3 lessons. One day I add a new Lesson D to that same track.
* Does this make Track 1 appear as incomplete for the learner, or just Lesson D?
No, it does not.The previously completed assignment will not be altered by this addition, however, anyone browsing for Track 1 in the Library will immediately see the changes.
In this case, it will probably make the most sense to send Lesson D as a standalone assignment to this first group of learners rather than canceling the assignment that many have already completed and re-sending. Each new group that gets assigned Track 1 will see Lessons A, B, C, and D from the outset.

View ArticleRepeat attempts for graded assignments
Repeat attempts is a highly-requested feature to support core use cases around mandatory sales training or compliance training whereby its typically required to pass, yet Admins want to provide Learners more affordance to retry on a failed attempt. In G1, it was a major administrative headache to replicate this ability to repeat graded assignments, particularly from a tracking and reporting perspective. This feature is positioned to automate this use case for Admins as an additional configuration option for graded assignments.
For the AdminWhen configuring a graded assignment, Admins now have the option to enable repeat attempts:
This is opt-in, so the default selection is Unlimited attempts. The Admin may set up to 100 repeat attempts.
From a reporting perspective, reports under Standard reports have been updated to allow an Admin to answer the following questions:
Q: Are there assignments that are particularly difficult (or easy) to pass? (Assignment overview by assignment report)
Q: What was this users final outcome on the assignment? How many attempts did she require before passing? (Assignment detail report)
Q: How did a user perform in each of her attempts? (Graded assignment details report)
For the Learner
Upon receiving the assignment, the Learner proceeds as she normally would, but after failing an attempt, shes now allowed to retake the assignment if there are attempts remaining:
Other product areas reflect this status, including assignment cards:
As well as on Learner assignment details where she sees which attempt shes on, as well as the ability to hover to understand her score from the last attempt:
Graded assignments are not marked completed until either:
Completed and passed
Completed, but failed with no attempts remaining
