Mr. Danny Andrews serves as an Editor of Plainview Daily Herald at The Hearst Corporation. Mr. Andrews served as the President of Panhandle Press Association, Plainview Area United Way, Plainview Chamber of Commerce, Noon Optimist Club, Salvation Army Advisory Board and Bulldog Booster Club. Mr. Andrews began his career as a sportswriter while a Senior Baseball Player at Plainview High School, and continued to write sports and news for the Daily Herald until becoming Sports Editor in 1970. He was promoted to Editor in 1978. Mr. Andrews serves as President of Association of Former Students. The year 2000 marks, Mr. Andrews 30th year as an employee of Plainview Daily Herald and 22nd as Editor. He received Distinguished Leadership Alumni Award in 1992. He was named Plainview's Man of the Year in 1995. He graduated from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview in 1972.
