  • I can only speak for my department. I would say the morale is low right now. Underpaid and overworked and no improvement in site. We get emails about how well the company is doing, but we never get any substantial raises. The only reason I'm still here is that I like the people I work with.

  • It can be hard. I look for relevant experience over raw skills. I get a lot of applicants who are right out of school but haven't worked with cloud infrastructure and big data outside of the classroom. I want people whoa re tested and proven in the real world, able to handle writing advanced SQL as well as being competent in a scripting language and with the cloud.
