Mr. John M. Condon, also known as Jack, serves as Senior Vice President of Finance at Hearst Newspapers at The Hearst Corporation since May 10, 2005. Mr. Condon served as Chief Operating Officer of Primedia Business unit of Primedia, Inc. Prior to joining Primedia in 2001, he spent 22 years at Capital Cities/ABC, and served as an Executive Vice President of Finance for Fairchild Publications. He began his career at Capital Cities/ABC in 1978 as Senior Financial Analyst for the corporate staff in New York. In 1980, he went on to hold the position of Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and in 1988 was named Vice President of Operations. He served as Chairman Council of The Hearst Corporation. He is a graduate of New York University and is a certified public accountant.
