Mr. Lincoln Millstein serves as Senior Vice President and Special Assistant To The Chief Executive Officer at The Hearst Corporation since June 1, 2013. He served as an Executive Vice President and Deputy Group Head of Hearst Newspapers since March 2012. He served as Senior Vice President of Digital Media of Hearst Newspapers at The Hearst Corporation since January 18, 2005. Mr. Millstein served as Director of Digital Media of Hearst Newspapers at The Hearst Corporation since January 18, 2005. Mr. Millstein served as Executive Vice President of New York Times Digital, where he oversaw the Web sites of the Boston Globe (Boston.com) and The New York Times (NYTimes.com). Mr. Millstein helped found Boston.com in 1995 and ran it until 2000 when he served as Chief Operating Officer of New York Times Digital. In 1994, he left a 25-year newsroom career to spearhead the development of the Boston Globe's digital strategy, resulting in the launch of the widely acclaimed Boston.com in 1995. He also led the newspaper industry in creating quadrantONE, an online national sales network, and an alliance with Zillow.com, the leading real estate portal. His digital responsibilities, he is involved in the redesign and restructuring of Hearst's print newspapers. He is a 25-year newsroom veteran who spent 14 years in a variety of editing positions at the Globe, including features editor, business editor and city editor. In his last assignment in the newsroom, he served as Managing Editor for features and new media. He serves as Director of Wanderful Media. During his tenure, he developed several important sections in the newspaper, including the expansion of the Business and Arts sections. Prior to joining The Boston Globe in 1983, Mr. Millstein spent 10 years at The Hartford Courant both as a Reporter and Editor, including business editor from 1981 to 1983. During that time, he won several awards for his reporting on the aerospace and insurance industries. He was a National Endowment for the Humanities Professional Journalism Fellow at Stanford University in 1980 to 1981. He was editor-in-chief of the student newspaper. Mr. Millstein is a graduate of the University of Connecticut.
