Executive Bio

Ms. Pamela Fiori serves as Editor at The Hearst Corporation. She served as an Editor-In-Chief of Town & Country and Town & Country TRAVEL at The Hearst Corporation. Ms. Fiori revitalized Town & Country by expanding the boundaries of the magazine to include a greater variety of topics, voices, personalities and columns. Under her editorship, Town & Country remained the premier luxury lifestyle magazine in America. She produced a new upscale magazine, Town & Country Travel, which launched in October 2003. Her initiatives included a special Weddings annual and several books on entertaining, weddings and etiquette. Ms. Fiori wrote a monthly column for Town & Country, as well as feature articles for both Town & Country and Town & Country Travel. Prior to that, she was widely credited with the success of American Express Publishing's Travel + Leisure. Since 1989, Ms. Fiori served as an Executive Vice President and Editorial Director of American Express Publishing Corporation and was responsible for all editorial operations for American Express Publishing magazines, which at that time included Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine and Departures. Ms. Fiori serves as the founding Co-Chairperson of the UNICEF Snowflake Project. In 2005, she traveled to Sri Lanka with UNICEF to witness and report on the aftermath of the tsunami for Town & Country. In March 2006, she traveled to New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to report on the disaster. Ms. Fiori and her team put together a 26-page essay for the magazine. In 2007, she was awarded the Matrix Award for magazine journalism by Women in Communications, Inc., a prestigious honor that acknowledges outstanding women who have distinguished themselves in the field of communications. In 2006, Ms. Fiori received the Gem Award from the Jewelry Information Council for the magazine's coverage of fine jewelry. In 1985, she was presented with France's highest civic honor, the Chevalier de l'Ordre du M??rite. In 1996 she received the National Italian American Foundation's Award for Special Achievement in Business and was the recipient of the 1998 Ellis Island Medal of Honor. In 2001, she was recognized by the Italian Trade Commission for her work promoting tourism in Italy. In 2004, Ms. Fiori was named Fashion Oracle of the Year by Saks Fifth Avenue at the Fashion Group International's annual Night of Stars gala.
