What do you like best about the leadership team?
pro+ active and supportive to employees
Only about half even have true experience
HIAS has a strong leadership team. There have been a lot of changes in organizational structure recently, which seem to be OK, hard to tell. Leadership is also making an effort to communication better and more frequently.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communicating! Thinking, planning, practicing before they hold all-staff meetings.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Benefit options and pay semi fair
Good number of days off each year.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Better pay that recognizes the experience employees bring, not just the band that HR is looking at.
A promotion and able to hire more staff for my department.
I am doing the job of two people including someone who I know is better paid than I am.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Support live team and always willing to go extra mile
My team is dedicated, hard working, committed, experienced.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Send an email or post your PowerPoint instead of reading it to us during meetings
Everyone has their heads down, some don't share ideas until it is too late, makes it hard to collaborate.
Higher better talent and give them clear lines of authority and accountability
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
inclusive and supportive, make me happy

I met a lot of the people I ended up working with.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Move away from systems that compare candidates by the number of points they score on the reference survey, and look at people as human beings and individuals

Being able to have a positive impact on an important issue.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Senior staff are struggling under pressure. Not communicating well. People working incredibly hard, don't feel valued.
