What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are all very strong at what they do and they don't pull punches, which I appreciated. It gave me confidence that what I was doing was the right thing for the company and I was doing my part to help it grow.

George, Hudson, and the rest of the executive team were wonderful; they were always accessible and made it easy to approach them with my opinions or ideas for improving my work. The culture they fostered truly reflected their values and made for a supportive environment.
Always communicated a clear north star and did what was right for the customers and employees. They also worked hard to shield us from self-motivated leaders/execs after the aquisition.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The equity was more than enough to make up for the several years of slightly above market rate pay. At exit when PayPal bought us, I know of many many early employees, like myself, that walked away with over a million in equity and ended up getting solid pay raises as well.

In the startup environment, regular performance reviews were rare because we were too focused on our work and growing the business. However, after the acquisition, it felt like we were finally recognized and rewarded for our hard work over the years.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We never wasted time in huge meeting, it was all about getting stuff done. We had the right to just go stuff and deliver, no need for layers of approvals. Communication over slack was fast and we didn't have wait for answers for very long.
Only have critical meetings with minimal routine check-ins. Everyone is given the freedom to do what they need to do.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
On the Honey team, everyone was incredibly collaborative and generous with their time. There was a strong sense that we were all in it together, dedicated to supporting the growth of our business.
