Better employee communication, less nepotism, better comp. Give people focused job responsibilities instead of making everyone do multiple things. Company is making millions of dollars per year - end the austerity around raises.

BEING MORE TRANSPARENT. NO ONE REALLY LISTENS TO OR EVEN ASK ES WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE LEADS. WE CAN SEE TRENDS AND WHATS GOING ON IN THE FRONTLINES , WE ARE NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT LEADS AS EXCUSES; WE ARE GIVING FEED BACK FOR MARKETING /VENDORS TO MAKE TWEEKS ETC.. OR TO SAY THINGS ARE GREAT.

Listening to the people - there are a lot of great ideas out there that are overlooked everyday. Also cutting ties with problematic people - there are a lot of people still working in the company that have been openly divisive & counter culture. Yet, they still exist and that has been disheartening.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

The marketing department and senior leadership of the company function as their own company, and the rest of HotChalk serves their projects. In recent months we've begun moving in a positive direction as members of this population work toward uniting departments across the organization.

Lead quality. Inequitable distribution of leads likely to convert. This creates a feeling of a very steep uphill climb to perform at an acceptable level.

Missed targets and thin profit margins. New executives bringing on multiple ex-colleagues and family members without posting/interviewing for the positions, creating positions from thin air when other teams need reinforcements. Continued focus on quantity not quality.

The quality of the work has been lacking the last few months.

I work to do things that excite me. That doesn't mean that I don't enjoy going to work because I enjoy working with my coworkers and genuinely like what I do. Excitement is a stronger term that I would personally use when it comes to my work / occupation.
