Executive Bio

Mr. Saul Adam Scherl has been Executive Vice President of New York Tri-State Region at The Howard Hughes Corporation since December 2015. Mr. Scherl joined The Howard Hughes Corporation in December 2015 as Executive Vice President responsible for overseeing the New York Tri-State Region, which notably includes the Seaport District that is undergoing redevelopment. Mr. Scherl has more than twenty years of retail, residential, hospitality and mixed-use real estate experience. Prior to joining The Howard Hughes Corporation, he was a Principal at Blackpoint Partners where he managed the company's real estate assets as well as mergers and acquisitions. Previously, he served in a similar capacity at Loeb Partners Realty as the Managing Director and with Nomura Asset Capital. Earlier in his career, Mr. Scherl was with Piper Rudnick and Shaw Pittman as well as Arthur Young and Company. Throughout his career, he has been involved in a broad range of acquisitions, dispositions, redevelopments and financings for real estate properties across the U.S. Additionally, he is both a licensed attorney and CPA. Mr. Scherl graduated from Emory University with a B.B.A. in Accounting and received his J.D. from George Washington University.
