What do you like best about the leadership team?
Executives and leadership in general are extremely in tune with the industry and make rational, well thought out decisions about the direction of the company. It's great peace of mind knowing that your future is in good hands.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Santa Barbara can be a tough place to work given the high cost of living, but my direct managers and executives are very thoughtful about identifying fair comp structures based on performance metrics. The annual OKR bonus is a nice boost at the end of the year also.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I feel lucky to have been brought aboard. The entire team is extremely bright (which is not by accident). The sense of pride from some of the tenured associates really helps instill a sense of ownership amongst everyone. Everyone seems to know they are a part of something special.
What makes you most happy at work?
I have the autonomy to work as I need to, knowing I have the support of my manager if needed. I'm genuinely treated like an adult without politics and corporate micromanagement. We are such a unique product that there is a great sense of camaraderie among everyone as active stakeholders.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My favorite thing about the culture is that it's real. By that, I mean there are no cliques, no gossip, no drama, and people take a vested interest each other. I feel comfortable going to a 1x1 lunch with anyone in the company. There are a lot of opportunities to socialize which helps bond people.
