Executive Bio

Mr. Amir Faintuch serves as Corporate Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Platform Engineering Group at Intel Corporation. Mr. Faintuch leads numerous worldwide engineering teams that are responsible for the IP design, system-on-chip (SoC) development, manufacturing and validation of Intel's overall chip portfolio across Intel businesses. He served as President of Qualcomm Atheros, Inc at QUALCOMM Incorporated, where he oversaw Qualcomm's Networking, Connectivity and Infrastructure semiconductor businesses. Mr. Faintuch served as a Senior Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Business Unit at Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. (also known as Atheros Communications Inc) since November 2010. Mr. Faintuch served as Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Wireless Business Unit at Atheros Communications Inc. since September 29, 2008. He also held prior senior management roles at Atheros in which he led the advancement of Atheros as a leading connectivity provider for mobile phones and portable consumer electronics. Prior to joining Atheros in 2008, he led Texas Instruments' business, marketing and product management of its Mobile Connectivity Solutions. Mr. Faintuch lead Atheros' business efforts in the mobile markets that address the communications and connectivity requirements of handheld consumer electronics and handsets. He has more than 15 years of experience in the semiconductor, communications and software industries, served as director of business, marketing and product management in the Mobile Connectivity Solutions group at Texas Instruments. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of NxTar Inc. and Bpath Inc. (formally HyperBanner Network). Prior to joining HyperBanner, Mr. Faintuch served as Vice President of Business development and Chief Financial Officer of Soundesigns Multimedia Communication Systems. He served as Vice President and Chief Economist of Misgav-Karmiel Business Development Center. He was instrumental in leading TI's WLAN, Bluetooth(R)/FM and GPS businesses and was a significant contributor to the mobile industry's trend toward integrated silicon combinations of these connectivity technologies. Previously, he held several product management, marketing and business development positions in the mobile WLAN and WPAN businesses at TI. He served as a Director of InvenSense, Inc. from October 27, 2014 to May 18, 2017. Mr. Faintuch earned a dual Master of Business Administration degree in High Technology Management from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and Tel-Aviv University's Recanati School of Management. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration from Haifa University.
