Mr. Amir Khosrowshahi, Ph.D. has been Vice President of Artificial Intelligence Products Group and Chief Technology Officer of AI Products Group at Intel Corporation since August 9, 2017. Mr. Khosrowshahi is a Co-Founder of Nervana Systems and serves as its Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Khosrowshahi has a diverse business and research background. He led the neuromorphic analog VLSI sensor effort at Qualcomm. He served as Vice President, Data Center Group and Engineering Lead, Artificial Intelligence Solutions at Intel Corporation until August 2017. He served as consultant to successful startups including Xl2Web (now Google Spreadsheets) and Tellme Networks. He served as Vice President at Goldman Sachs, leading their emerging markets derivatives business, with other roles in principal investment, capital markets, M&A, portfolio trading and structured finance. His PhD thesis work, advised by Bruno Olshausen, was on large-scale unsupervised learning algorithms. His research experience includes experimental neuroscience, computer vision, parallel computing and machine learning on clusters and GPUs. Mr. Khosrowshahi holds BA in physics and mathematics and M.A. in physics from Harvard University and PhD in computational neuroscience from UC Berkeley.
