Executive Bio
Christine Mason Soneral is Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary & Chief Compliance Officer for ITC Holdings Corp. She is responsible for all corporate legal affairs and the leadership of ITC’s Legal Department, which includes the legal, real estate, contract administration, and corporate compliance functions. As Secretary, she ensures the integrity of the company’s governance framework, is responsible for the efficient administration of the company, and implements decisions of the Board of Directors. As Chief Compliance Officer, she is responsible for overseeing the company’s conformity with laws and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements through the establishment and implementation of procedures that are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Previously, Ms. Mason Soneral was Vice President and General Counsel-Utility Operations responsible for legal matters connected with the operations, capital projects, contract, regulatory, property, and litigation issues of ITC’s four regulated transmission company subsidiaries.
Ms. Mason Soneral received her Juris Doctorate degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law- Bloomington. While in law school, she authored and published an article in the Federal Communications Law Journal, the nation’s oldest and largest circulation communications law journal.
