How can I improve my chances of being hired at Jet.com?
I would tell you to look for a job some place else.From the day you are hired you will be looking over your shoulder for the day they firing you.My understanding is that they will hire 20 temps per shift(4 shifts per week)and they hope to keep 1 person out of each group
Have a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, web applications and how systems can scale. At least 1 year of outside programming experience is expected.

There was a few before Walmart bought them

I look for a new job every day that I can and have been for over a year

Going home on Thursday morning after 4 -10 hours nights

When I started you needed to pick 32 pieces per hour and now its up to 50 per hour in a 750,000 sq foot warehouse pulling 50-100 lbs of product on a cart.And you will be told if you don't like it find somewhere else to work
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Jet.com?
I work 4 10 hour nights.You have no social life Sunday night thur Thursday afternoon.

I am 60 .When was interviewed by a 20 something male he ask my name,address,and phone # and they would call me next week if I got the job.Someone called my cellphone with in the hour as I was going home and told me to be at the warehouse at 8 AM 2 days later for training.
Does Jet.com drug test or do a background check?
No the company that hires you (temp company) does that and then you work for them(maybe 3 months to a year before jet hires you
How innovative is Jet.com?
Not at all .When they change something in the picking process it is up to you to find out the change,no one tell you .
What's the vibe like in the Engineering dept at Jet.com? How many hours are you working?
Very chill. It's part of a public company but still has a nice startup feel to it.
What's the Engineering team like at Jet.com?
Great! Very intelligent, nice, and fun people. Everyone is inspired to do what they do best.

Good! They give you the freedom to grow.

Very competitive (at least 100k a year).
