Everything! LACK OF LEADERSHIP. Horrible place to work
Actually being a leader instead of doing whatever to keep your job.
The emperor has no clothes. As long as you are a yes man Kimpton lives you. As much as they proclaim to want new ideas and inclusivity the glass ceiling is as thick as the Great Wall of China.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The annual bonus and the employee rates we get around the world
All of it as a whole is competitive

I have full benefits at a very good cost to me.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Necause ive eamiled HR three times and nothing has happened.
I should be paid for holidays without working them if you say you pay for holidays
An increase woiod feel good. Long hours and hard work. Making a lot ig mobey for the hotel
Stock options would be a great added benefit. Higher employer contribution in medical plans would also help.
My experience level is being squandered in the lowest rungs of the ladder and no one cares. The restaurant design team is run by someone who has zero practical experience in the industry. There is no thought to ergonomics and allostasis. The income disparity at Kimpton is just like all major corps.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Fun kind smart intelligent nice
We are the baddest kitchen in any hotel in the state of California.
We have people that genuinely want to work here.
People I would gravitate to as friends outside the workplace
They are just like my brother and sisters we all do great things together in and outside of work.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
With all the hype about empowerment Kimpton doesn’t allow for real change which would improve
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The friendly staff and the fact that everyone seems to enjoy working here

My Chef, made me feel comfortable so it cut the nervous edge and made it easy to show my skills.
Fit within team was considered in addition to skills
How straight to the.point and honest it was.
I got a job. It was nothing special.

Just being able to go there every day and produce a great experience for people to enjoy.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
communication and leadership needs more attention
A whole new approach that fits the hotel and the environment we are in
Share the ownership and decision making so that the exploitation of the boots on the ground is muted. We are the ones paying the price for the extravagant life styles of the executive group. We are inundated with propaganda and hyperbole.
