L4 has an "unlimited paid time off" policy. You do need to "ask permission" in advance for vacation type PTO and it ous usually granted. However there is some competition for times like Xmas and new years weeks and the company does keep operating during these times and needs some people to work to respond to any client requests. I was able to take 4 contiguous weeks of PTO -- I had been with them 18 months at point and asked 3 months in advance. That was great.
