  • Both maternity and paternity leave are way too low, it’s insulting. I will probably leave Laserfiche when I want to have kids.

  • Yes they do a drug test and a background check but only on initial hire - there are no random drug tests after hiring. Employees have asked for them to remove the drug test requirement but they claim they have to keep it simply because a tiny number of employees work on federal contracts thus it’s required by law for those employees, and they are too lazy to distinguish between who does and doesn’t.

  • Mostly, we go home and have personal lives, which is how I like it. Some people are in clubs such as board game club, sailing club, or tennis club. These clubs have minimal or no funding except the sailing club which is wildly overfunded because the CEO is in it.

  • Internships are haphazard and not properly resourced. Engineering teams are very supportive but too understaffed to support interns properly and the president/CTO is always inappropriately meddling and making snap judgements about how interns are performing. Also they have a strong unfair bias towards certain schools such as Harvey Mudd College.

  • They do a lot of promotions from within but it depends on if certain leaders like you. Some people get unfairly judged by one small interaction or bias from above, limiting their promotion potential.
