How flexible is your work schedule at Laserfiche?
In engineering, very flexible work hours. Just show up for key team meetings (usually late mornings) and the rest is up to you.
What's the work from home policy like at Laserfiche?
It was bad before COVID, now it’s pretty good, but the number of states you can work from is very limited.
What is the best advice you could give someone during their first month at Laserfiche?
Make lots of friends. Set up meetings with people in other departments and understand what their priorities and pain points are.
How can I get hired at Laserfiche as a recent grad?
Go to Harvey Mudd and/or get good at useless puzzles that have no relation to your job. Or be a family friend of someone high up in the company.

What are the differences between maternity and paternity leave at Laserfiche?
Both maternity and paternity leave are way too low, it’s insulting. I will probably leave Laserfiche when I want to have kids.
Does Laserfiche drug test or do a background check?
Yes they do a drug test and a background check but only on initial hire - there are no random drug tests after hiring. Employees have asked for them to remove the drug test requirement but they claim they have to keep it simply because a tiny number of employees work on federal contracts thus it’s required by law for those employees, and they are too lazy to distinguish between who does and doesn’t.

What kind of people does Laserfiche like to hire?
They have an inappropriate bias towards certain schools and don’t appreciate nontraditional backgrounds or less prestigious schools.
How are the vision insurance options at Laserfiche?
Mediocre
What kind of activities do employees at Laserfiche participate in outside of work?
Mostly, we go home and have personal lives, which is how I like it. Some people are in clubs such as board game club, sailing club, or tennis club. These clubs have minimal or no funding except the sailing club which is wildly overfunded because the CEO is in it.
What is Laserfiche's internship program like?
Internships are haphazard and not properly resourced. Engineering teams are very supportive but too understaffed to support interns properly and the president/CTO is always inappropriately meddling and making snap judgements about how interns are performing. Also they have a strong unfair bias towards certain schools such as Harvey Mudd College.
What is the company mobility like at Laserfiche?
They do a lot of promotions from within but it depends on if certain leaders like you. Some people get unfairly judged by one small interaction or bias from above, limiting their promotion potential.
Is it possible to switch teams at Laserfiche? If so, what is the process?
Yes, there is a process for internal transfers that has been successful. But sometimes you feel guilty for leaving your current team because everyone is so understaffed.

In engineering, casual (jeans and t-shirts allowed but no shorts or sandals). In sales, business casual.
