He served as Senior Vice President???South America at Laureate Education, Inc. since 2002 until December 2010, where he had responsibility for business development in South America. Mr. Berckemeyer has guided the expansion of the Laureate network in South America since 2002, when he joined it after serving as vice president for Latin America for Citigroup Global Insurance. Prior to his role with Citigroup, He served as director of global business development mergers and acquisitions for Aetna International. Mr. Berckemeyer earned his M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his B.A. in economics from Universidad del Pacifico, Lima, Peru.
