His Interests are, Mr. Becker established the Sylvan Learning Foundation (now known as the Sylvan/Laureate Foundation) in 1997, to provide support for education initiatives in Baltimore and around the world. He is currently a board member of Constellation Energy Group, a Fortune 100 energy company. His commitment to the community is reflected in his role as Board Chair of the International Youth Foundation, a global non-profit focused on youth employment and youth leadership, primarily in developing countries. He was also Founding Chairman of Port Discovery, The Baltimore Children's Museum.
