Los Alamos National Laboratory Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The most positive part if the culture is an open attitude towards sharing information (that can be shared). It almost feels like working on a college campus.

The science is phenomenal and always diverse.

Opportunity for freedom to be creative in problem solving.

They are always ready to listen. That includes constructive criticism as well as new ideas.

LANL makes a difference, and each employee is recognized to do that.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Managment has a my way or the highway approach to things, so we are short handed cause the highway has jobs

Older people need to be more open to new ideas as well as get rid of attitude towards females and younger co-workers.

I think the company should invest in some manager training and development and promote people to managers if they possess the necessary skills, not based on popularity.
