Mr. Daniel M. Coombs, also known as Dan, has been an Executive Vice President of Manufacturing, Projects, Refining & Technology at LyondellBasell Industries N.V., since February 4, 2017 and serves as its Member of Management Board and also served as its Executive Vice President of Global Olefins & Polyolefins & Technology since January 14, 2016 until February 4, 2017. Mr. Coombs served as Executive Vice President of Intermediates & Derivatives at LyondellBasell Industries N.V. since May 29, 2015. Mr. Coombs served as Senior Vice President of Manufacturing of Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LLC and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP since December 1, 2013. Mr. Coombs served as Senior Vice President of Specialties, Aromatics & Styrenics at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP. Mr. Coombs served as Senior Vice President of Specialties, Aromatics and Styrenics at Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LLC since January 1, 2012 until December 1, 2013. Mr. Coombs served as Vice President Corporate Planning and Development at Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LLC from August 2011 to January 1, 2012 and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP. He served as Vice President of Qatar Chevron Phillips Chemical and Deputy General Manager for the Qatari joint venture entities. He joined Phillips Petroleum Company in 1978 in research and development. In 1985, Mr. Coombs moved to Phillips Petroleum's Borger, Texas operations where he served as operations manager for NGL, stock & blending and utilities and also as technical manager for its specialty chemicals and plastics plant. In 1993, Mr. Coombs managed Phillips downstream business services which coordinated planning, development, acquisitions, divestitures and special improvement projects for Phillips??? downstream businesses. Later the following year, Mr. Coombs managed the Borger Refinery Area and became Philtex/Ryton chemical plant manager in 1996. He moved to general manager of specialty chemicals in 1998 and in 1999 was named to the joint venture formation team that successfully negotiated the formation of Chevron Phillips Chemical. He awarded 18 U.S. and numerous foreign patents. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from The Ohio State University in 1978 and a Master of Science degree in chemical engineering from Tulsa University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University.
