It's a virtual workplace, so only a small fraction of folks actually work in an office. Culture could be dramatically improved if they would hire more women in leadership roles... specifically board appointments and c-suite.

  • Pay people what they are worth.

Asked to all employees at M*Modal

  • You are an employee at MModal. You are expected to be at your desk working during your assigned hours. You can get up for a quick break, but your hours not typing or listening to audio are tracked, and if it gets too high, you are cautioned about it. You can certainly work in your pajamas if you'd like. No commuting. You are paid for downtime that is their fault like system not available or their equipment fails. You punch an online timecard. Your accuracy must be 99.65% or higher. You have to be able to be efficient and accurate. You must have 165 lines minimum an hour, but at that rate you can't make much money. The longer you stay on an account, the faster you can get and the more money you can make. But if you start making critical mistakes, you could be put on performance and could be terminated. It's a fine line. Sometimes very stressful. The rest of the time it is very interesting work.
