Executive Bio

Mr. Kevin J. Pearson has been an Executive Vice President of M&T Bank Corporation since 2002. Mr. Pearson has been Vice Chairman of M&T Bank, Inc. at M&T Bank Corporation since 2014. He is responsible for leadership of M&T's Metro Area, which includes the New York metro-area and Philadelphia. Additionally, he is responsible for Commercial Planning and Marketing, Commercial Product Management, Treasury Management Sales, Commercial Service and M&T Realty Capital Corp. He served as President of an Operating Unit at M&T Asset Management. Mr. Pearson served as the President of the New York City and Philadelphia Divisions of M&T Bank Corp. since 2002. In June 1989, he joined M&T Bank's Private Banking Division in New York City. He transitioned to the Hudson Valley South Region in 1994 and became responsible for commercial lending. In October 2000, he assumed the role of Regional President of the Philadelphia Region and continued in that role until January 2006. During that time, in July 2002, he assumed his current position as Metro-Area Executive and joined M&T's Management Group. Upon graduation, he worked for Citicorp Credit Services and Citibank Private Banking for a total of four years. He serves as Vice Chairman of Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company. He has been a Director of M&T Bank since 2004. Mr. Pearson is a member of the Regional Plan Association for Connecticut, New Jersey and New York, a Trustee for the Citizens Budget Commission and a member of New York City Center. Mr. Pearson graduated from Santa Clara University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and in 1985 with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
