Madison College was founded in 1912 and its current CEO is Dr. Jack E. Daniels, III. Since its inception 114 years ago, Madison College has grown to 2000 employees.

Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility at Madison College

Sustainability is an important part of our work at Madison College, whether it's environmental, cultural, or financial.

For example, the Scholars of Promise program provides low-income, graduating high school students an opportunity to access a college education without worrying about how to pay for it.

As of 2020, Madison College has one of the largest rooftop solar installation in Wisconsin! With more than 5,700 panels, Madison College has the largest rooftop solar installation in Wisconsin.

Our kitchens also have Chester the Digester, a unique bio-digester that recycles 300 pounds of food waste each day.

The Madison College Green Team consists of students, faculty, and staff and is responsible for providing leadership and direction of sustainability practices for all Madison College stakeholders.

The Madison College Foundation is an independent, 501-c-3 Wisconsin nonprofit corporation established in 1973 as the official fundraising and gift receiving organization for Madison College. The Madison College Foundation raises, invests and distributes funds in support of Madison College students and programs.

The Madison College Foundation’s role is to support the College in its mission to provide access to quality education for all and foster learning and success.

Madison College’s Combined Charitable Campaign raises money for community charities including United Way of Dane County, Madison College Foundation, Creating Healthier Communities and Community Shares of Wisconsin. The 2021 Campaign raised over $93,000!
