Mr. Mitchell R. LaBar, also known as Mitch, has been the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Marcus & Millichap, Inc., since March 31, 2016. Mr. LaBar served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services Inc. (Alternate name is Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Company) since 1996 and from 1997 to 2008 respectively. Mr. LaBar served as Division Manager, oversaw the operations of several offices in Southern California, of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Company since 1996. Over the past several years, Mr. LaBar has overseen Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Company's Northeast expansion, opening the Manhattan office in 1999, as well as offices in Philadelphia, New Jersey and New Haven, Conn. He has grown the Manhattan office to 60 agents and oversees the activities of a high-powered team of eight in New Haven. Mr. LaBar started his career as a sales associate in Marcus & Millichap's Newport Beach, Calif., office in 1984. Over the years he has opened the Ontario, Calif., office and managed the Encino, Calif., office, two of Marcus & Millichap's top producing offices. Mr. LaBar earned degree in economics from Brigham Young University.
