Ms. Sari Granat has been General Counsel of IHS Markit Ltd. since July 12, 2016 and also serves as its Executive Vice President. Ms. Granat is responsible for IHS Markit's legal, compliance, regulatory and government affairs, enterprise risk and information security functions. She has 20 years??? professional experience advising media and technology companies on a broad range of legal and strategic matters. Prior to joining Markit in 2012, she served as Vice President of Legal Affairs & Business Development, Lead Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer at TheMarkets.com LLC. Before joiningTheMarkets.com, Ms. Granat served as the Vice President of New Media in the strategy and innovation group at Kaplan, Inc. She worked across divisions to develop partnerships with technology and new media companies and coordinate strategic technology investments. Prior to that, Ms. Granat served as an Associate General Counsel at Kaplan and Counsel at Dow Jones & Company. In these roles, she handled intellectual property, licensing, privacy and other media law matters. She served as an Associate at the law firms Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Kenyon & Kenyon. She served as a Director of IHS Inc. since July 12, 2016. Ms. Granat is a graduate of Yale University, where she received a B.A. in English, as well as a graduate of New York University School of Law, where she received her J.D.
