Executive Bio

Mr. E. Scott Gilbert has been the Chief Information Officer of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. since September 9, 2015 and has been its Senior Vice President since January 24, 2005. Mr. Gilbert leads Marsh & McLennan's wide efforts to improve the experience of clients and colleagues through the development and implementation of innovative and cost-effective technologies. In his role, he has responsibility for the Global Technology Infrastructure group, the Marsh & McLennan Innovation Centre and Chairs of Information Technology Council. In addition, Mr. Gilbert oversees Marsh & McLennan's global Business Resiliency and Security operations. Mr. Gilbert served as Chief Risk & Compliance Officer of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. from January 24, 2005 to September 9, 2015. Mr. Gilbert was responsible for supervising and implementing Marsh's compliance polices and programs worldwide. Prior to joining Marsh & McLennan Companies in January 2005, he had been the Chief Compliance Counsel of the General Electric Company since September 2004. Prior to joining GE, Mr. Gilbert served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York from 1986 to 1992, where he worked on several securities fraud cases.
