  • Dependent on your group. Some groups have zero flexibility, some segments of the company are 100% work from home

View Response & Answer »

Asked to all employees at Marsh McLennan

  • They claim to offer flexible work arrangements, but expect it to be extremely arbitrary. If you're not married / don't have children, don't expect them to offer you any benefits since "you don't have any reason to need flexibility." If you're single they'll expect you to be on call all the time.

Asked to all employees at Marsh McLennan

  • Widespread incompetence at this company. Low pay means the only people willing to accept positions here are those who aren't high caliber enough to get a job with a better firm. It's almost impossible to get fired so people who are mediocre at best simply hang around. Little colleague interaction outside work or even cross departments.

  • Nonexistent. They give you feedback once a year with no actionable items

View Response & Answer »

Asked to all employees at Marsh McLennan

  • Nonexistent. They preach a lot about inclusivity and diversity but they’re highly hypocritical about how they apply that

Asked to all employees at Marsh McLennan

  • Management training or scrap management team. This company works off the old model of promoting to management based on tenure vs actual aptitude. They need managers who are good at being managers, not people who were good at doing their prior jobs.

  • Almost none. Vacation policy is relatively decent, but it’s difficult to take any. No snacks or anything like that provided. Company cell phone

View Response & Answer »

Asked to all employees at Marsh McLennan

  • Very little. 401(k) match is a joke and takes 4 years to vest and actually get your matching money. They scrapped the pension, but didn’t replace it with anything meaningful so they basically cut a huge cost in their benefits and gave nothing in return. The health insurance is insultingly costly given we do H&B consulting I would have expected we would have great health insurance. They try to sell their own services and stock funds to employees at dumb rates for financial planning and fee structures. The ESPP is also a joke (5% discount on a crappy stock)

View Response & Answer »

Asked to all employees at Marsh McLennan

  • Almost non existent depending on group. They budget so tightly that they already can barely afford to pay below market salaries so there’s obviously no room for any outings for teams. If you want to do something as a team, you pay out of your own pocket

View Response & Answer »

Asked to all employees at Marsh McLennan

  • Terrible. No consistent expectations for when you will leave or when you will be done with work. People make requests for work at 7pm that will take 5 hours to complete. I can have that same experience in Investment Banking and get paid far more
