Katherine J. Brennan — Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Secretary & Chief Compliance Officer at Marsh McLennan

Ms. Katherine J. Brennan, also known as Kate, served as Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer at Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. since October 18, 2017. Ms. Brennan serves as Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at S&P Global, Inc. (formerly, McGraw Hill Financial, Inc.). From 2008 to 2015, Ms. Brennan served in a number of leadership roles at Marsh & McLennan. She served as the General Counsel and Member of Board of Managers of Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC since January 1, 2014. Prior to Guy Carpenter, Ms. Brennan served as Senior Corporate Counsel and Assistant Secretary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc., where she focused on corporate finance transactions, SEC disclosure, mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance and shareholder matters. Prior to joining MMC in September 2008, Ms. Brennan was with the law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf in New York City. At D&L, she represented clients in connection with all aspects of the corporate and securities practice with a focus on insurance-linked securities, including catastrophe bond transactions. She was admitted to the State Bar of New York in 2004. Ms. Brennan graduated from Duke University with a BA in Political Science and German literature in 1999 and a minor in Mathematics and received her JD from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2003.
