Executive Bio

Ms. Christine Elliot has been an Executive Vice President of Global Communications at Mastercard Incorporated since January 11, 2017. Ms. Elliot served as Chief Communications Officer of S&P Global, Inc. (formerly, McGraw Hill Financial, Inc.) since January 2016. Ms. Elliot oversaw four key areas of responsibility including External Communications, Internal Communications, Regional Communications and the MHFI Studios. She served as Vice President of Communications and Marketing at McGraw Hill Financial from September 2015 to January 2016 and was a Member of the Public Affairs Leadership Council. Ms. Elliot was responsible for developing and directing a comprehensive and integrated media and communications strategy for S&P Global. She formulated and communicated the trategic position of McGraw Hill Financial on critical business initiatives with the media, preparing executives for media engagement and partnering with Business Unit media and communications heads to ensure consistency of message. She was also responsible for building and strengthening relationships with the global financial media. Prior to joining McGraw Hill Financial, she served as Chief Communications Officer of American Express Global Business Travel. At American Express Global Business, she managed a global team responsible for executive communications, media and industry relations, government affairs and corporate responsibility. She has a strong news background, having spent six years as a producer at ABC News. She also served on the Board of Trustees for the Global Business Travel Association Foundation, received an Emmy Award in 1999. Ms. Elliot received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Political Science from the University of Michigan.
