The money is pretty good for me
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Better 401(k) match and health insurance.
Higher compensation to begin with. Pay industry wages.
We are just numbers at Mesa. Positive or negative integers. They, the senior management, want you to “think” you are valued but that is NOT the case. As their slogan states “Minutes Matter”. Not people; outside their business model of “Low Cost” service to their

After so many years, that loyalty is unappreciated. There is no value placed on my position.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Great people to work with.
We care. Want to provide great service.
We don’t have meetings in our department unless you are in trouble
Young and open to change
The flight crews here are such wonderful people! You never know who you're going to be working with but finding people who are your favorite to work with is very fun. It's exciting looking forward to working with your favorite crews!

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone was very interesting to meet
My co-workers are the best in the industry.
Great pilot group for the most part. Folks want to help each other, professionally.
Coworkers can make tough situations easier.
You never know what to expect so flexibility is a must.

It depends on who you work with to be positive or negative

The best part about the interview was the face-to-face
I showed up and they offered me a job.
Relaxed and down to Earth. Talked easily about goals, expectations, passions and pursuits.

I'm left to get the job done on my own.
Interaction with passengers and getting to pilot an airliner
The people I work with and the travel
New destinations aren't uncommon. I get to take people to their destinations for a myriad of reasons.
Making the passengers happy is the best reward at work! Getting to travel to different places is wonderful too.

They make no bones about what Mesa is about, career-wise. It is JUST a stepping stone and one is expected to but your time in, then move on.
