What do people at Method think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
Have no idea what he does. He's always in meetings or gone meeting with the board. He spent 2 years in Europe "fixing" the EU side of the business, so he wasn't always around. Now they just sold out to SC Johnson so it's been a weird feeling in the office
Everyone seems to like him overall. He's a great public speaker and gets everyone fired up after every presentation he speaks at. Leadership and direction definitively can be improved.
How's the work life balance at Method?
Very good. Everyone leaves by 5ish give or take. Except finance and accounting.
For the most part, great! With the exceptions of a few departments, no one stays past 6 pm. A lot of people have kids and families, so method does a great job of allowing flexibility in your schedule
What are your coworkers at Method like?
They're fantastic. Everyone is really intelligent and move
Like any company. You have a mix of good and bad, smart and really smart, motivated and people who want to coast. The entire gamut is covered. A lot of former clorox people so a lot of cpg mentality. Lately there's been an influx of new people which has changed the dynamic as method transitions from a start up to scaling potential billion dollar company.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Method?
Hard to say now that they've been bought by a huge conglomerate
Does Method have any remote positions?
Mainly in sales and a few select special people get that perk
How does Method make decisions around promotions?
Not sure. The sales team decide on that
How's the vacation policy at Method?
Pretty good overall. You get 3 weeks as a manager level. Just have to earn the dates.
